About CGA-HSBC China Junior Golf Program

The CGA-HSBC China Junior Golf Program is the only officially sanctioned junior golf program in China, the CGA-HSBC China Junior Golf Program has been a sustainable platform for competition since its introduction in 2007. With the winter/summer camp, and HSBC School Golf Training Program, golf was widely promoted and more juniors got to know the sport. In 2016, the China Golf Association, HSBC and IMG announced the next 5 years’ (2016-2020) partnership, to continue the Program for China junior golf.

Since the program launched, the HSBC National Junior Golf Championship, the HSBC China Junior Golf Open, the HSBC Junior Golf Winter/Summer Camp, and the HSBC School Golf Training Program cover most of the provinces and cities in China and attracted tens of thousands of juniors, including not only elite players who competed at a high level, but also beginners who were not that familiar with the sport.

The achievements of the CGA-HSBC China Junior Golf Program were significant. Batches of talented players have excelled from the platform. Many of them have been selected into the National Junior Team or even the National Team and have become key players there. Recent examples include: Lin Xiyu, Li Haotong, Jin Cheng and Dou Zecheng.
